Guesthouse Manager position based in Grootfontein

JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Guesthouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our guesthouse in Grootfontein. The ideal candidate will ensure a welcoming, well-maintained environment for guests while managing staff and administrative responsibilities with professionalism.

GENERAL DUTIES

• Oversee the smooth running of daily guesthouse operations
• Ensure high standards of guest care and satisfaction
• Supervise housekeeping, gardening, and general maintenance
• Assist in meal preparation and coordinate catering for guest groups
• Handle guest bookings and manage communication
• Support bookkeeping and administrative tasks (in collaboration with management and external bookkeeper)
• Manage purchasing of groceries and supplies
• Lead and motivate the guesthouse team to deliver excellent service

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in hospitality or guesthouse management
• Fluency in German is highly advantageous
• Valid Driver’s License
• Basic knowledge of gardening and property maintenance will be an advantage
