We are seeking an exceptional and committed Headmaster with extensive school management experience, who has a proven track record in leading a combined school to academic excellence.

The headmaster will be provided with an unfurnished but suitable accommodation and shall be residing in Karibib. He/She shall be accountable for offering effective leadership and overseeing the daily operations of the entire school (primary and secondary) and its boarding facilities (hostel), promoting and emphasizing academic excellence.

This position calls for a strong candidate who possesses the following credentials:

A relevant teaching degree at NGA level 7 and be qualified and experienced as a teacher with thorough understanding of educational best practices in the Namibian and southern African context.

A postgraduate degree in Education Management or other related disciplines is advantageous.

Extensive experience in the Namibian education sector with a minimum of ten years’ experience as a school administrator, headmaster, deputy headmaster, and academic coordinator/dean at a boarding school. Experience in setting strategic 5-10-year plans for schools.

Experience in developing and overseeing a boarding school’s annual budget. • Experience in managing the day-to-day routines of the school ensuring excellent academic performance and school-wide system efficiency and safety.

Experience in molding and promoting a culture of excellence in extra-mural activities.

Proven record of accomplishment in overseeing an academic community.

Strong commitment to maintain and further develop school-wide systems in academic care.

Commitment to accelerate the implementation of computer technology for teaching, learning and operational purposes.

Willingness to live and work in a rural setting with limited access to modern amenities.
