ONGOPOLO MINING LIMITED is a mining, development, and exploration company specializing in copper mining in Namibia. The company is seeking suitably qualified candidates for various positions available at its Central Operations (Otjihase/ Matchless Mines), located 35 km outside Windhoek. With plans to restart operations, the company aims to fill positions in the Engineering Department at its Central Operations.

ROLE PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Section Engineer/Engineering Manager, the Electrical Foreman will oversee electrical installations and machinery operation at Otjihase and Matchless mines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage all electrical equipment and generators.
• Plan underground and surface power reticulation.
• Supervise electrical installations and maintenance activities. Train and guide subordinates.
• Ensure compliance with mine safety standards both LV and MV

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Recognized Trade Diploma with 4 technical theoretical subjects (N3 Level).
• Minimum of 5 years post-trade test experience with 2 years being in supervisory role.

• Strong people management and administration skills.
• Code C driver’s license.
