ELECTRICIAN – ONGOPOLO MINING LIMITED

ONGOPOLO MINING LIMITED is a mining, development, and exploration company specializing in copper mining in Namibia. The company is seeking suitably qualified candidates for various positions available at its Central Operations (Otjihase/ Matchless Mines), located 35 km outside Windhoek. With plans to restart operations, the company aims to fill positions in the Engineering Department at its Central Operations.

ROLE PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Electrical Foreman, the Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment while supervising and training -subordinates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install and maintain electrical equipment, including cables,

transformers, switchgear, control panels, and motors, both LV and MV.

• Ensure compliance with mine safety standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Recognized Trade Diploma with 4 technical theoretical subjects (N3 Level).
•  Minimum of 3 years post-tra de test experience.
• Code B driver’s license.
• Underground mining (HME Maintenance) experience is advantageous.
•  Control and Instrumentation experience is advantageous.
