MAINTENANCE PLANNER – ONGOPOLO MINING LIMITED

ONGOPOLO MINING LIMITED is a mining, development, and exploration company specializing in copper mining in Namibia. The company is seeking suitably qualified candidates for various positions available at its Central Operations (Otjihase/ Matchless Mines), located 35 km outside Windhoek. With plans to restart operations, the company aims to fill positions in the Engineering Department at its Central Operations.

ROLE PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Section Engineer, the Maintenance Planner will coordinate maintenance activities, manage resources, and optimize equipment availability and efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administer the maintenance management system.
• Set up and manage preventive maintenance programs.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with technicians and subcontractors. Manage purchase orders and equipment inventory.
• Process technician work dockets for surface and underground maintenance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Recognized Trade Diploma with 4 technical theoretical subjects (N3 Level).

Minimum of 3 years post-trade test experience with 1 year in engineering planning, including long-term planning.

Advanced CMMS experience (e.g.. Pronto, SAP).

Mining heavy machinery maintenance experience is advantageous. Code B driver’s license.
