Engineering, Procurement & Construction Manager for Renewable Energy Projects in Namibia
Responsibilities
Experience: At least 4 years
Assess the technical feasibility of the new projects/business opportunities, collect all the technical data and report to the Head Quarter (HQ) in France (remotely and in-person)
Edit the technical documentation required for the development of the new projects (applications for licensing and authorizations) or during a tender process
Co-edit the Terms of References and Specifications for the contracting work and supplying done locally in close relation with the HQ’s Design Office based in France.
Lead the procurement process for local contractors and suppliers
Coordinate the studies and supervision process between intemational suppliers and consultants from the tender phase to the commissioning of the generation plant
Assess the technical and contractual compliances of the deliverables in regards to the Project and Contract document Ensure the legal compliance of the site operations in regard to the EMP, ECC, Labour Act and internal Policy Report to HQ and Shareholders on the progress of the construction in regards to the QCD criteria
Required Skills & Experience
- Engineering / Business Schools profiles required Master’s degree and 4 to 7 years of proven Renewable Energy project construction and/or design
- French skills are compulsory as the candidate will work with a French management
- Strong knowledge in mechanical and electrical engineering
- Strong organizational skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Preference will be given to those with any of the following: Passion for Sustainable Development/Renewable Energy
- Technical engineer experiences
- Solar system design/construction experiences Wind farm design/construction experiences
- CAD software proficiency (Draftsight, Autocad)
- High skills in MS Project (or Windows Project 2015) Willingness to work a flexible schedule
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
- Serious, business-minded, professional mentality Valid driver license
- Strong knowledge of the Namibian Grid Code Strong knowledge of the Namibian Electricity Safety Code (certified)
- First Aid Level A, OSH representative trained, Industrial Fire Fighting trained
