Wi tv lei Village Council seeks to recruit a suitably, qualified and experienced Namibian Citizens who is dynamic and has proven abilities to administer and execute his/her duties and responsibilities within the frame work of the Local Authorities Act ,1992 and other relevant legislation.
JOB PURPOSE:
To assist the CEO with the effective functioning of the Village Council by rendering secretarial, clerical, record keeping, administrative and other services.
REPORTING LINE: Chief Executive Officer
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
⦁ Render an effective secretarial and clerical function
⦁ Manage the telephone and screen phone calls
⦁ Manage the filling system according to the archive Act 12 of 1992
⦁ Improve methods and technique used in the Secretarial
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
⦁ A Diploma in Office Administration or equivalent qualifications (NQF level 6) plus three (3) years working experience as Secretary.
⦁ Proficiency in English, and two indigenous language will be an added advantage
⦁ Must have worked or knowledgeable in Local Authority set up
⦁ Driving license code B added as advantage

REPORTING LINE: Accountant
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
⦁ Verifies and validates the monthly meter readings;
⦁ Reviews all journals prepared for accuracy, completeness and validity. Submits the checked journal for authorization to the immediate supervisor;
⦁ Conduct checks to ensure that timeous action is taken regarding the meter cut list forwarded to the relevant department;
⦁ Ensure that all the accounts are printed timeously:
⦁ Check the monthly error list during the billing process and investigates anomalies/deviations. Initiates corrective action steps required;
⦁ Check the work done by the subord inates for accuracy, completeness and timeously.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
⦁ Grade 12; National Trade Diploma in accounting/Finance or an equivalent qualification on NQF Level 6, plus 3 years’ experience in revenue/debtors of which one year should have been in a supervisory capacity;
⦁ Basic knowledge of debt collection practices (Legal steps);
⦁ Computer Literacy, and practical knowledge of FINSTEL will be an added advantage:
