VACANCY
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
⦁ Reporting to the respective General Managers, the incumbent will be responsible for the overall profitability and efficiency of the Gaming Departments, managed in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures and in compliance with relevant legislation
⦁ To work with the respective Executive Teams to contribute to the management of the operations as a whole
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
⦁ Matric or equivalent
⦁ At least 10 years’ experience in Executive Management within a Gaming Operation.
⦁ Previous sound experience in Gaming operations, inclusive of Tables, Slots. Cashiering. Surveillance & Guest Services.
⦁ Previous property General Manager would be added advantage,
⦁ Proven skills in Marketing and Promotions.
REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
⦁ Applicant to be prepared travel frequently.
⦁ Applicant to head the two Legacy Casino in Windhoek & Swakopmund.
⦁ Knowledge and understanding of the interpretation regarding all Gaming related reports
⦁ Experience in Statistical analysis, including machine mix
⦁ Sound Financial management and budget control skills
⦁ Highly numerate – has a thorough understanding of the statistical principals of gaming and gaming-related accounting practices
⦁ Demonstrated abilities to maintain excellent physical standards and service levels
⦁ Strong strategic and customer service focus
⦁ Team player with high energy levels and assertive
⦁ Prepared to work irregular hours as per business requirements
⦁ Computer literacy at least in MS Word. MS Excel
⦁ Business and financial acumen with strong management ability
⦁ Preferably attended an Executive Management Development Program
⦁ Training people development skills and IR experience
LEADERSHIP OF THE GAMING FUNCTIONS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maximise the profitability of the combined Tables and Slots Operations of the units * Provision of the attentive customer care and service
⦁ Budgeting and Financial control, forecast, staff planning and achievement of targets
⦁ Planning and implementation of the promotional activities in conjunction with executive Management and Marketing Department
⦁ Security of the respective tables and slots operations
HUMAN RESOURCES
⦁ Ensure staff operate to laid down procedures
⦁ Ensure staff develop and maintain the competencies necessary to perform their task
⦁ Routine administration
⦁ Maintain discipline in the Gaming Department
⦁ Maintain and enhance agreed operating standards
