We are looking to fill the position of:
Project Manager Pro Namibian Children
Our Vision: We are an institution that supports and enables sustainable education and vocational training for vulnerable children in the South of Namibia.
Our Mission: We generate real help for self-help.
Since more than 16 years we support and operate educational projects in the South of Namibia, particularly the hostel and a huge self-supply garden at “St. Patricks Primary School”, Omomas, Kalkrand.
Here is where more than 165 children in need find a loving and caring home, healthy food, good academic education, vocational trainings such as eco-gardening, cooking, e-learning, health education and lots of individual support .
We are funded by international sponsors, and we focus on a high performance and quality standard of ourproject at all times in all areas.
The project manager’s job is to:
Manage all projects of the PNC in Namibia,
Represent the PNC in Namibia incl. all administrative work involved,
Efficiently organize all supplies needed to operate the hostel and projects at Omomas,
Lead the staff of the hostel activities,
Plan, coordinate and supervise all activities and individual projects such as vocational trainings, school gardening, Alumnis, sports, building,
Ensure high quality, clear structures, discipline and performance standards and their continuous improvement on the premises,
Organize sponsor projects and events,
Maintain ongoing documentation of activities,
Be an authentic leader with high personal leadership skills such as communication, conflict management, problem solving, presence, commitment and self-management,
Foster a strong team spirit on site,
Coordinate all hostel activities with the school principal,
Administer the hostel budget.
Your qualifications:
Graduation as teacher, project manager, agricultural or vocational expert or trainer.
At least 10 years’ experience in similar areas, thereof proven experience in a managerial position.
Excellent English and Afrikaans.
Experienced in training, childcare and youth work.
Strong personal, social and leadership skills.
Public driver license (B-licence) including PA.
Experienced with Microsoft Office applications.
