Chief Information Officer

FNB Namibia Information Technology

Purpose

To formulate and implement the Group Information Technology strategy as well as lead and direct key technology initiatives and projects within the Group.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of managers to deliver high avaliability and service excellence in IT operations
• Ensure availability, support and maintenance of all systems in accordance with Its business cnticality, including capacity management and proactive monitoringand management
• Deliver projects In accordance with business requirements and agreed project timelines
• Define, negotiate and manage agreements with external vendors/suppliers in conjunction with central IT procurement
• Dnve continuous improvement through the application of best practice.

Initiate projects that Improve the effectiveness a nd efficiency of IT, including business case development and financial analysis

• Manage IT operations budgets in support of business goals
• Ensure quality and quantity of service delivery in support of service level agreements
• Ensure appropriate lifecycle management of all IT infrastructure components including systems software, hardware and periphery devices
• Manage performance of the team. Participate in development of IT strategy in support of business objectives with particular focus on operational and service excellence
• Drive all initiatives and deliverables within the context of business expectations and outcomes
• Establish and build relationships with key business stakeholders and other relevant business units

Additional Requirements

• A proven track record in managing IT shared services and large-scale IT projects in a decentralised organisational stmeture
• A sound IT functional knowledge and experience in systems development and IT operations as well as an understanding of business processes

Qualifications and Experience

• Post-Graduate Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or other quantitative discipline from accredited school
• 8-12 years in a similar environment of which 3-4 years ideally at Executive level
