RECEPTIONIST

Santam Namibia currently has a permanent opportunity available for a Receptionist at our Walvis Bay branch.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Seeking an organized and dependable individual with good phone and communication skills to operate the switchboard and to perform general office administration functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidate will be expected to perform (but not limited to) the following duties:

• Monitor and scan telephone calls and take correct message with necessary follow up actions
• Courteously dealing with enquiries from incoming calls and/or walk-in individuals
• Directs calls and relay messages through the switchboard system
• Professionally organise reception area and relevant duties
• Report faulty lines and telephones
• Assist public clients and visitors at Reception area.
• General administration functions

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• Two (2) years work experience in dealing with public with excellent telephone skills and pleasant personality and well groomed
• Experience In the financial industry will be an advantage
• Excellent communication skills (English and Afrikaans); a third local Namibian language will be an added advantage
• Computer literate. Microsoft Office; Outlook
