STUD MANAGER/NAMIBIA

We are looking for A qualified person with the
following academic qualifications and experience:

Requirements:

• Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• +-10 years and f thorough understanding of equine care.
• Practical experience of veterinary and farrier care.
• Experienced at emergency situations, with particular regard to common regional illnesses and occurrences.
• Able to take sole charge.
• Leadership experience managing a team of people.
• Able to fit saddles and tack to a variety of horses.
• Familiar with methods of training for fitness, including correct muscular development for different sporting disciplines.
• Sustainable management of natural resources.
• Knowledge of veld and nutritional aspects in relation to feeding horses.
• Medically Fit
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Must have driving licence for car with trailer (B+E category) and experience transporting animals
• Prefer cross border import/export experience (including government requirements and regulations) of high value livestock.

Qualifications:

• Diploma: Equine Science
• Accomplished rider, competitive in dressage, show jumping, eventing and endurance disciplines.
• Must be proficient in lateral work and collection, with a thorough working knowledge of the equine muscular structure and development
• Able to work with young stock, including classical methods of groundwork, lunging,

long reining; as well as backing and early stage training.

• Experience re-training horses for changes in discipline or to overcome training issues.
• Able to work with owners for a holistic training plan to achieve goals.
