BOOKKEEPER: HOTEL SCHOOL (Grade C3)

Duty Station: Zambezi VTC (ZVTC)

Reporting to: Accountant

Purpose: Responsible for the accurate processing of all financial transactions at the Hotel School.

Key Performance Areas:
· Conduct monthly reconciliations of accounts.
· Do daily cash up for the hotel school and sub-divisions.
· Monitor cash flow of the hotel school.
· Prepare invoices and statements for customers.
· Assist the Head of Hotel School in compiling the budget.
· Analyse and evaluate all quotations for purchases.
· Ensure correct rates on accommodation, food and beverages charged.
· Do debt collection on outstanding payments with the assistance of the Receptionist.
· Submit financial reports to the Accountant on income and expenditure.
· Prepare NTB (Namibia Tourism Board) levy documents and request the payment thereof by the Accountant.
· Provide required information to internal and external auditors.
· Ensure accurate processing of financial transactions and compliance to all financial regulations and guidelines.
· Attend to audit results and recommendations and report back to the Accountant on implementation.

Qualifications and Experience:
· Relevant National Diploma or equivalent qualifications; and
· Three (3) years relevant experience.
