EDITOR (x2 positions) – New Era Publication Corporation (NEPC)

New Era Publication Corporation (NEPC) is looking for suitable and experienced individuals to fill the following positions:

EDITOR: DAY (1)

EDITOR: NIGHT (1)

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To effectively oversee the news content of each New Era edition as well as manage online content.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Monitors editorial and administrative functions in the department,
• Coordinate online or print publishing cycle,
• Ensures that editorial department complies with media law and ethical guidelines,
• Co-ordinates the planning, generation, execution and assessment of news, features and photographic assignments,
• Manages overall quality of all editorial work,
• Staff management,

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Must possess a high level of administrative skills,
• Must possess a Bachelors’ Degree in Media Study from a recognized tertiary institution,
• Six (6) years relevant working experience of which two (2) years should have been at a supervisory level,
• Proven knowledge of media industry,
