WORKSHOP TECHNICIAN

The Workshop Technician is a person who need to be a technical specialist, with knowledge and experience in cleaning machines and equipment, who can plan and work well in a team to ensure the effective and successful flow of the workshop operations.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain, repair and servicing of cleaning equipment and machines, ensuring machinery comply with all statutory regulations
• Ensure the external contract machinery and equipment maintenance is carried out in line with contractual agreements
• Supervise subordinate employee
• Supervise the regular servicing and reliability of the machinery and infrastructure
• Compliance and Implementation with the Workshop Policy Developing and delivering upgrades to systems and processes
• Induction of new employees in the workshop Quality checking of machinery in the workshop
• Develop, design, and maintain procedures for the effective and efficient flow of the workshop
• Supervising the maintenance of machines in workshop
• Organising leave for workshop employees
• Negotiating with suppliers and parts department
• Obtaining quotations for the replacement of parts
• Obtaining quotations for tools and equipment required in the workshop
• Weekly stock taking of parts bought for the workshop

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Grade 12,
• Code B Driver’s License
• Namibian Citizen
• 3 -+ Years in a workshop environment
• Experience with Taurus, CEMSA or similar machinery
• General computer literate (Windows, MS
  Word and Excel)
