WORKHAND GRADE 14 – Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform

Must have at least a Grade 14 qualification, e.g., a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Assistant, plus relevant experience. Also need to pass a competency test and have a valid driver's licence. Some positions may require a certificate in animal health.

Responsibilities include assisting veterinarians with animal examinations, administering vaccines, maintaining herd health records, and supporting field inspections. They also help with sample collection, data entry, and community outreach on disease prevention. Daily tasks often involve travel to rural farms and liaising with farmers.
