The Namibia Airports Company is a wholly State-owned company established in terms of the NAC Act (Act no. 25 of 1998) and governed by the Public Enterprises Governance Act (Act no.1 of 2019) and Companies Act (Act no.28 of 2004), to undertake the operations, management and control of certain aerodromes in Namibia, and to provide for incidental matters.

Purpose of this position

To provide support and assistance to the Civil Artisan in executing scheduled civil maintenance tasks, ad hoc duties and maintains job cards according to the approved maintenance plans.

To assist with ensuring that tools, materials and allocated vehicles are maintained in a good working condition and are available at the job site.

Educational Requirement

· Grade 12 certificate with a minimum of 20 points.

Work Experience

· At least two (2) years’ work experience in a similar technical field with a valid Code B drivers’ license.

Skills and Attributes

· Basic knowledge of civil maintenance equipment and tools;

· Basic knowledge of modern civil maintenance works;

· Good verbal communication skills in English;

· Ability to follow and execute instructions;

· Ability to multi-task, handle work pressures and to meet deadlines;

· Demonstrate aptitude for learning new technologies;

· Ethical conduct and high integrity;

· Good knowledge of plumbing works;

· Basic computer skills.
