WORK TEAM LEADER – Namibia Dairies

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To control, execute and supervise all activities related to repair and preventative maintenance of agricultural and dairy machines and ensure full utilization and optimization of all machineries on the farm to meet daily targets.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Develop and implement a preventative maintenance plan for all agricultural and dairy machines.
• Execute the preventative maintenance plan priorities for all vehicles, and equipment/machinery monthly.
• Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance work on all agricultural and dairy machines and implements.
• Receive job cards, plan daily work, and assign work to subordinates.
• Coordinates and procure stock materials for the workshop.
• Supervise the work of direct reports.
• Monitor safe working practices and procedures.
• Adhere to the Health and Safety and Environmental policies of the company.
• Maintain a high degree of internal and external customer communication and satisfaction in area of responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

• A 4-year Qualification in Diesel Mechanics with a trade certificate.
• A minimum of 6 years’ mechanical repairs and maintenance experience.
• Experience on repair and maintenance on John Deere machines.
