WELDER FOREMAN

Description of Duties:

1. Supervising and coordinating welding activities on construction projects.
2. Inspecting welds to ensure they meet quality standards and project specifications.
3. Developing and implementing welding procedures, ensuring they comply with safety standards and codes.
4. Scheduling welding activities and assigning tasks to welding personnel.
5. Preparing and maintaining records and reports related to welding activities.
6. Training and mentoring welding personnel to ensure they have the necessary 7. knowledge and skills to perform their job duties effectively.
7. Collaborating with other construction professionals to identify and address welding-related issues.

Qualifications:

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a post-secondary education in welding or a related field is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a welder is required, and prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role is preferred. Be able to independently lead an above 10 people team based on construction period requirements.
3. Knowledge of welding equipment, techniques, and codes is required.
4. The ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings is necessary.
5. Strong communication and leadership skills are required.
