Requirements
- Grade 10 (minimum)
- Welder/Boilermaker qualification (N 1-3) and/or relevant trade test certification. Formal qualifications are advantageous, however not mandatory where sufficient experience and trade competency can be demonstrated.
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Two (2) years’ experience including:
- Competent in MIG, TIG and Stick (SMAW/MMA to ISO 111) welding processes.
- Fabricating and repairing structural and mechanical components in an industrial, marine or manufacturing environment.
- Holds a valid welding qualification certificate issued after a physical / practical welder qualification test.
- Capable of carrying out basic fitting and fabrication work.
- Reliable and responsive to emergency breakdowns and after-hours callouts.
