Key Responsibilities

• Assist with invoicing activities.
• Liaise with the Invoicing and Administration Clerk to ensure correct filing of Proof of Delivery (POD), Goods Received Voucher (GRV) and picking slip documentation.
• Ensure dispatch documentation is accurately maintained.
• Supervise the dispatch and transportation process for outgoing stock.
• Supervise picking, movement, loading and dispatch of stock.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and damage reports.
• Maintain a safe, clean and tidy warehouse environment.
• Keep shelving, storage areas, gangways and work areas clean and obstruction-free.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards and promote safe working practices.
• Supervise employees reporting to the position.
• Monitor performance and provide guidance, support, training and development.
• Supervise inventory control processes.
• Coordinate and supervise stocktakes and stock-count cycles.
• Support accurate stock control throughout the warehouse.
• Stand in as Acting Warehouse Manager when required.
• Provide operational support to the Warehouse Manager and assume supervisory responsibilities during absence.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (NSSCO/NSSCAS) or equivalent.
• Certificate or Diploma in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field is an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in a warehouse, stores, logistics or distribution environment.
• 1-2 years’ supervisory or team leader experience in a warehouse or similar operational environment.
• Practical experience in stock control, stocktaking, inventory management, picking, dispatch and receiving.
• Experience with loading and dispatch of goods and accurate supporting documentation.
• Experience with PODs, GRVs, picking slips and invoices.
• Experience training and supervising warehouse employees.
• Computer literacy, especially Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with an inventory, warehouse management or ERP system is an advantage.
• Knowledge of workplace Health and Safety requirements.
• Valid Namibian Code B Driver’s License is an advantage.
• Sound knowledge of warehouse and dispatch operations.
• Good understanding of stock and inventory control processes.
• Knowledge of stocktaking procedures and inventory cycles.
• Understanding of dispatch documentation including PODs, GRVs and picking slips.
• Ability to supervise stock picking, movement, loading and dispatch activities.
• Ability to guide, train and evaluate warehouse employees.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to identify and resolve stock discrepancies and operational issues.
• Ability to work effectively with administration, invoicing, warehouse and transport functions.
• Ability to act in a warehouse management capacity when required.
