KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Foster healthy working relationships with medical personnel, clients, patients and their families to ensure that trusted care are maintained within responsible unit.
- Lead responsible unit and clinical personnel to unfailingly adhere to performance and nursing standards, reporting structures, company policies and procedures, standard operating procedures, LEAN sustainability and relevant protocols.
- Ensure responsible unit’s stock and equipment is controlled according to Standard Operating procedures.
- Play an active role in the recruitment of medical personnel.
- Identify and address Continuous Professional Development (CPD) needs within responsible unit.
- Ensure a therapeutic and safe environment for patients and personnel by maintaining health and safety standards and infection prevention and control policies.
- Perform general and ad hoc Registered Nurse duties as dictated by medical emergencies or operational requirements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Namibian Citizenship or eligible to work in Namibia.
- Registered with the HPCNA as a Registered Nurse.
- Registered Nurse Qualification.
- Post-graduate Qualification in Critical Care.
- 10 Years’ working experience as a Registered Nurse in a Critical Care/lntensive Care Unit, of which at least 3 years were in a mid-management role.
NON-NEGOTIABLE COMPETENCIES
- Sound judgement, adaptability, leadership and computer skills.
- Exhibit full responsibility for own and team’s work outputs.
- Ability to guide team and individuals in order to ensure the highest standard of care is maintained, and dealing effectively with negative deviation of performance and behavioural standards &
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and willingness to deal with everyday challenges.
- Carry great knowledge of current Namibian Acts and Health & Safety legislation that influence patient care and rights.
- Availability and willingness to assist in case of emergencies at inconvenient hours, weekends or public holidays.
