To conduct training on mining machinery and equipment for designated employees and coordinate training programmes and administration to support operational training and development requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and conduct production equipment and machinery training in accordance with required standards and procedures.
- Conduct operator, refresher and equipment-related training on heavy earthmoving, drilling and other mining equipment.
- Assess trainee knowledge, practical competence and progress and provide coaching where required.
- Identify training needs in consultation with the HR Superintendent and Line Management.
- Plan and schedule employee training programmes in line with operational and production requirements.
- Develop and maintain course programmes, lesson plans, training manuals and related training materials.
- Update training materials when new equipment, methods or operational requirements are introduced.
- Support employee induction and recruitment activities where required.
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate (20 point minimum)
- Valid Code 08 Driver’s Licence
- NTA-aligned training certificates related to mining or equipment operation
- Registered or working towards NTA Trainer/Assessor certification
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Training Officer
- Experience across mining and earthmoving engineering training and development
- Broad knowledge of training within a mining and earthmoving maintenance environment
- Good knowledge of training procedures and practices
- Ability to conduct theoretical and practical equipment training and assessments
- Good planning, organising and coordination skills
- Strong presentation, listening and communication skills
- Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with operational teams
