TRAINING OFFICER (METALLURGY) – TECHNICAL SERVICES – (C3) (REF. NO. ENG/2022-004)

The Challenge

To provide initial and refresher training to Namdeb employees in a safe and efficient manner, conduct on the job coaching and mentoring and to administer related activities in accordance with the set standards, regulations and procedures.

The Ideal Applicant

• Grade 12 Certificate with English, Mathematics or Physical Science (20 Points)
• Five years Plant experience of which two years as Process controller
• Category 5(Foreman Training) completed
• OD-ETD Qualification at NQF Level 4
• AME (Assessor Certificate) at Level 5
• Code CE Driver’s License
• Computer Literacy: MS Office (Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Outlook; MS Teams)
• Conversant in English
• Presentation skills

Permanent Namdeb employees meeting the requirement below can be considered. One year Traineeship programme at Cl Grading.

• Grade 10 Certificate with English, Mathematics or Physical Science (24 Points)
• Five years Plant experience of which two years as Process Controller (Acting)
• Category 4(Process Controller) completed
• Code B driver’s license, while Code CE will be an added advantage
• Computer Literacy: MS Office (Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Outlook; MS Teams)
• Conversant in English
• Presentation skills

Post Appointment Training:

• Category 5(Foreman Training)
• OD-ETD Qualification at NQF Level 4
• AME (Assessor Certificate) at Level 5
• Self-Study Assistance will be provided towards obtaining a Code CE license. (P0-TD-07)
