The Blood Transfusion Service of Namibia has a vacancy for a

Trainee Medical Technician x 3 vacancies (Placement is for Windhoek)
Working a flexible forty-hour week, the Trainee Medical Technician will undergo training and thereafter carry out a variety of laboratory investigations such as blood grouping, cross matching and separating blood into components. There is a strong possibility of overtime, including work on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays and shift work.
Minimum requirements: (A MUST!!)
• Grade 12 with a minimum of a C symbol on IGCSI level or a 4 symbol on HIGCSI level in Mathematics, Physical Science, Biology and English.
• A BSc degree in Biology, Biological Science, Biochemistry and Microbiology will be an added advantage and « candidates in possession of these qualifications will be given priority.
• Valid code 8 driver’s license
• Commit to a 24 month training course – Training Windhoek based.
• Computer Literate
• Namibian Citizen

Remuneration: A market-related salary, with benefits is subject to negotiation.
