PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To ensure smooth running of all technical services, e g water services, electricity services, sewerage services, cemeteries and emergency services, roads, town lands, livestock management, etc.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

National Trade Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Plumbing, Electrical, Civil Works or equivalent and at least 3 years working experience in a Technical Environment of Local Authority or related organizations.

MAIN PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Monitor allocated lessees livestock and all activities in townlands
• Maintain the townlands infrastructure
• Manage the livestock of the Council
• Compile weekly Programme and allocate tasks to various team
• Inspect and supervise all maintenance of buildings, roads, houses and townlands,
• Monitor and maintain Council’s fleet
• Monitor and keep register of the pounded animals
• Approve building plans and or cause to do quality control of buildings
• Oversee and maintain roads and traffic signs
• Manage and supervise the Technical Department on daily basis
