TEMPORARY CREDITORS CLERK

Key Responsibilities

• Capture and process supplier invoices accurately and timeously in Sage 300.
• Request Tax invoices from suppliers
• Prepare and maintain supplier reconciliations monthly.
• Investigate and resolve supplier account queries and discrepancies.
• Ensure all supporting documentation is complete and properly authorized.
• Prepare supplier payment schedules and assist with EFT payment processing.
• Reconcile creditor statements to the general ledger and supplier accounts.
• Ensure VAT is correctly accounted for in accordance with the Namibian VAT Act.
• Assist with VAT return preparation and provide supporting documentation when required.
• Maintain accurate filing and record-keeping systems.
• Assist with month-end and year-end finance procedures.
• Liaise professionally with suppliers and internal departments.

Requirements

• Experience in a creditors/account’s payable role.
• Proven experience using Sage 300.
• Strong experience with supplier reconciliations and accounts payable processes.
• Sound knowledge and practical application of the Namibian VAT Act.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Analytical mindset with excellent reconciliation skills.
• Team player with a proactive approach to work.
