TELECOMMUNICATIONS CONSULTANT

I Wanderport Namibia is looking for a highly organized and read- I I ily available technical consultant with whom wo could make I I appointments for per diem hire while we are conducting site I I surveys and liaising with local entities in order to plan a pilot I project of connecting schools and education centers to the in- I ternet using wireless technologies.

I We are looking for an individual who possesses the follow-

I ing skills and qualities:

I • (Mandatory) 100% Fluent in writing and speaking English

I and the local language

I • Relationship with appropriate local authority to facilitate

I access to towers and schools

I • Enterprise Level Wireless networking experience (Minimum of 5 years or equivalent professional training/knowledge):

o Must have knowledge of controller-based WLAN

I systems

o Must have knowledge of security protocols and how to implement them (e.g. EAP, 802.1x, WPA2/3 Enterprise, etc.)

o Working experience with a spectrum analyzer

• Experience liaising with local ISPs and/or Telecom Authori­ties – Minimum of 2 years
• Experience in managing aspects of a revenue generating network business

This person would be required to: communicate with local authorities to obtain requirements for our endeavors

act as a go between the local authorities and the executive team of Wanderport Africa

communicate with school administrators and ministry of basic education

conduct site surveys, using our methods, to our standard and under our direction

identify technology needs and caveats of a surveyed site source materials and equipment

• produce a bill of materials

Eventually we would want this individual to assist us by:

• recruiting, vetting and hinng local talent to build a team
• train new technicians
• manage the team of technicians
• order, track and organize stock of equipment and supplies
• maintain and monitor the installed sites and network as a whole
• ensuring that all customer facing networks are operating within our SLA parameters at all times
