SUPERINTENDENT NETWORK OPERATIONS – CENORED 420 views

The incumbent will report directly to the Operations Manager – Network Operations, and must co-ordinate the operational requirements.

Qualifications/ Experience:

• Minimum Qualifications
• National Diploma: Electrical Engineering/ N4.
• Candidate s with S3/S4 Technician qualifications will be considered.
• Bachelor of Technology Degree: Electrical Engineering will be an added advantage
• Advanced Supervisory training.
• Must be fully authorized up to 44Kv voltage level as per NESC.
• Specific Knowledge:
• Technical knowledge of MV & LV construction and maintenance practices and procedures.
• Hazard and Safety on HV Switching up to 44Kv.
• MVCaWe jointing & termination.
• Local authority rules and regulations
• CENORED MV network layout
• Distribution technology
• Intermediate network protection systems.
• Testing equipment & procedures
• Project management methods and techniques.
• Asset management
• Computerized maintenance management systems
• Budget control procedures
• Supervision principles and practices.
• Health and Safety Regulations
• National Regulated Standards.
• Quality of Supply & Services Standards
• Basic Namibian Labour Act
• Basic Electricity Act and Regulations
• CENORED policies procedures and business processes.
• Experience:
• Electrician: Six (6) years
• Senior Electrician: three (3) years or supervision of staff: three (3) years
• Licenses Required:
• Code BE Driver License
• Special Working Conditions:
• Irregular working hours to attend to ad hoc area needs.
• Available for duty in crisis or emergency situation.
• Hazardous working environment: high-risk areas, heavy equipment and heights
