VACANCY – Structural Technician

Windhoek Consulting Engineers (PTY) Ltd has a vacancy for a young and dynamic individual in the Structures Department. The structural technician plays a key role in the design, planning, and construction of building projects, by assisting the design team with surveys, inspections, construction drawings and reinforcement schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities:

– Producing clear and accurate engineering drawings of structural designs
– Producing clear and accurate reinforcement schedules
– Site inspections of construction works
– Surveys and site measurements of construction works

Qualifications and Requirements:
– Diploma in structural engineering
– 5 years’ experience in a consulting environment
– Fully conversant with Padds or Revit rebar, AutoCAD/Caddie. Revit will be an advantage
– Good knowledge of concrete reinforcement rules and best practices
– good knowledge of construction practices and processes
– Valid driver’s license
