SALARY GRADE BENEFITS PATTERSON GRADE D2
Market-Related Salary
Car Allowance: N$ 7443.00
Housing allowance/Subsidy: 20%/40%
Council Medical Aid Contribution: 85%
Council Pension Contribution: 21.7% of Basic salary
13th Cheque (Bonus)

2. MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION:
(A) To manage, plan, direct and control the overall Financial, Accounting & Administrative systems and operations of the Khorixas Town Council, by implementing policies, procedures and aligning objectives in accordance with relevant legislation.
(B) To set the financial strategy of the council focusing on increasing revenue, debt collection and implementing a sound accounting and reporting system.
3. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Minimum Educational
Qualification Requirements Grade 12 Certificate:
plus, a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance/ Commerce.
Other Requirements
⦁ Able to work under pressure & be able to make quick decisions where necessary.
⦁ Must be a team player with sound customer care skills.
⦁ Should be acquainted with Finstel (Added Advantage).
⦁ Driving License Code B (Added Advantage).
Minimum Experience
⦁ 5 years’ experience in Accounting & Finance/ Commerce of which at least 2 years must be in a supervisory capacity.
⦁ Knowledgeable in a Municipal environment (Added Advantage).
Key Performance Areas
⦁ Financial Control System. Financial Accounting & Budgeting.
⦁ Drawing up Financial Statements.
⦁ Monthly Bank Reconciliations.
⦁ Administrative Duties.
⦁ Corporate Governance & Marketing.
⦁ Asset Management & ICT.
⦁ Provide Inputs to Strategic Plan.
⦁ Compile and submit monthly reports on financial matters of Council.
