POSITION: STRATEGIC EXECUTIVE: LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, HEALTH AND COMMUNITY SERVICES (PATERSON GRADE LEVEL E1)
PURPOSE: To manage the department’s functions of promoting local economic development and providing health and community services in the Municipality of Gobabis. Responsible for the development and maintenance of all public recreational facilities and the general upkeep and condition of the municipal environment.
REPORTING LINE: Chief Executive Officer
DUTY STATION: Gobabis Municipality
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Strategic and operational planning
Provision and enforcement of health regulations
Provision of community services and development
Finance and budget of the department
Departmental effectiveness
Staff management and development
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration and/or Local Authority qualification or equivalent qualification on NQF Level 7.
Post graduate qualification in Business Administration or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
8 years of relevant experience in a corporate environment of which 5 years
should have been at the management level.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Code B driver’s license
Ability to make high-level decisions
REMUNERATION INCLUDES:
Basic Salary: N$ 488 771.00 pa
Motor Vehicle Allowance: N$ 102 701.00 pa
Housing Allowance: N$ 195 508.40 pa OR
Rental Allowance: N$ 97 754.20 pa
Cell phone allowance: N$ 9 600.00 pa
Subsidized Medical Aid Scheme
Subsidized Municipal Pension Fund
13th Cheque (Bonus)
