FINANCE & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (E1)

1. Purpose:

Budgeting, planning, administration and control of all the financial and information management of the Municipality of Grootfontein,

1. Key Performance Areas:

• Strategic planning, budgeting, overall administration and strategic advice
• Budgeting and Financial Management & Controls
• Compile Financial Statements
• General Departmental Management & Administration

1. Qualifications:

B-Degree in accounting or finance at NQF Level 7 with 8 years relevant experience of which 3 years should have been in a supervisory/managerial capacity. A relevant post graduate qualification NQF level 9 will be an added advantage

1. Required Skills:

• Very strong logical reasoning ability, attentive to detail but not detail bound.
• Budgeting
• Information Technology
• Knowledge of the Local Authorities Act. Labour Act and other relevant legislation
• Computer literacy
• Responsible, trustworthy, must be comfortable to take own initiative and adopt an innovative approach to problem solving.
• Sound managerial ability
• Knowledge and Experience in IPSAS
• Code B Driving License.
