POSITION: STORE MANAGER

Main purpose

To deliver individual stores sales growth and profitability targets, through ensuring that the cus­tomer is at the heart of every­thing we do, that all selling, promotional and operational initiatives and processes are ef­fectively implemented and exe­cuted in a sustainable way, and by identifying, developing and coaching, and retaining a highly competent and energized store team, who take ownership and accountability for their busi­ness.

Key responsibilities.

Deliver consistent levels of ser­vice that put the customer at the heart of everything we do and builds the number of loyal customers.

Deliver against all set targets as per the stores score card, and coach and develop indi­vidual team members to deliver against their job profiles and to

focus and deliver their unique contribution.

Ensure effective implementa­tion and execution of all selling, promotional and operational initiatives. Constantly seek op­portunities within and outside the store to increase sales and maximize returns on space and stock.

Balance effective service lev­els with meeting required pro­ductivity benchmarks Identify, develop and retain young tal­ent that will sustain the people pipeline to meet our growth ob­jectives.

Ensure ail operating processes are effectively implemented and maintained to sustain profitabili­ty. protect the brand values, and deliver effective service levels. Effectively manage change within the store environment, through actively embracing our desired culture and living the brand values.

Effectively align store teams through ‘Lets talk’ (consistent and active communication and engagement sessions) that are based on the fundamental prin­ciples of the business leader­ship program (BLP) Key competencies. Qualifications and Technical knowledge and skills: Commercial qualification e.g. Retail Business Management Diploma or relevant degree 3-5 years store manager experi­ence.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Degree or Diploma, in Business Management. Commerce. Economics, Retail Management or related.

• At least 3 to 5 years’ experi­ence of operating a Woolworths full line store • Proven ability to manage people and relevant qualification.
