STOCK CONTROLLER – ASCO Car Hire Pty Ltd

ASCO Car Hire Pty Ltd is urgently looking for an experienced, safety conscious, enthusiastic and driven Stock Controller to become an integral part of the Supply Chain team.

JOB PURPOSE:

We are looking for a Stock Controller who is highly capable to manage our stock inventory. You will be analysing supply chain data to ensure stock availability, placing purchase orders and transferring stock, and maintaining purchase and pricing reports.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Overseeing the movements of all stock in and out of the storeroom and check stock levels regularly;
• Ensuring that all stock leaving the store follows the correct process and is signed off;
• Updating stock information on the computer system;
• Compare stock received against stock ordered;
• Maintain records of purchases, suppliers and all relevant information;
• Performing random stock counts as well as full monthly stock counts;
• Investigating any variances in stock, identifying root causes, and providing solutions;
• Ensuring the storeroom is kept neat and tidy;
• Pulling stock for use in daily operations.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a stock controller or clerk in a similar industry;
• Relevant tertiary education is an advantage;
• Computer literate; MS Excel, MS Word experience;
• Is fluent in spoken and written English with negotiation and communication abilities;
• Well organised and strong attention to detail and knowledge of vehicle spares and parts;
• Willing to work on weekends;
• Preferably based in Windhoek or have own reliable transport;
• Valid Drivers licence would be advantageous.
