SPECIALISED OPERATIONS COORDINATOR – Desert Fruit (PTY) Ltd

Desert Fruit (Pty) Ltd is a Namibian company with the objective to produce, grow and pack high-value dates for the international market. The business operations are located on the banks of the Orange River that demarcates the border between South Africa and Namibia.
Desert Fruit requires the services of a suitably qualified and experienced Production – Specialized Operations Coordinator to manage the date farming activities for Desert Fruit (PTY) Ltd, with key focus on yield producing systems and programs.
The ideal incumbent will possess a University Degree or National Diploma in Agriculture with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior farm management and operational knowledge of the Pack Store.

Required skills and experience: should include sound knowledge of irrigation, fertilization and pesticide optimization programs, budgeting and financial skills, sound management practices, plant/yield function, business plan projections, supplier liaison and interaction, farm management knowledge. Global GAP, BRCGS and SMETA, agricultural market knowledge, mechanical and maintenance knowledge, function policies, procedures and financial transactions.
