JOB PURPOSE
As a Ships Spares Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of spares and equipment for ships.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate deliveries of spore parts and equipment for ships, ensuring timely and accurate fulfilment.
• Maintain a comprehensive inventory of spares, tracking stock and ensuring optimal availability.
• Work closely with the Operations Team to arrange transportation of spares to designated vessels.
• Provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders on the status of shipments / orders, including any delays or issues.
• Monitor and resolve any discrepancies or problems with spares deliveries, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records related to spares, orders, and transactions.
• Handle customs clearing processes to ensure compliance with import/export regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Grade 12 (min 21 points). Additional certification in logistics, or related field is an added advantage.
• Valid code B driver’s license. Valid PDP will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Asycuda.
• 2 years’ previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the maritime industry.
• Knowledge of international shipping regulations and logistics processes.
• Experience in customs clearing procedures and familiarity with import/export regulations.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-orientated environment.
