Job description:

Ensure optimum availability and reliability of equipment and resources in a maintenance
environment to support effective plant operations through effective and efficient work planning. management and control.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and control the execution of maintenance activities to meet set objectives
• Analyze equipment performance against targets and identify corrective actions for
  optimum availability and reliability
• Manage and control spares. tools and resources
• Manage and control work orders and work execution to support efficient work planning
  and execution control
• Conduct root cause analyses on equipment to identify corrective actions and as to
  improve on reliability
• Process procedures and or standards as remedial action for RCA investigations
  to update systems and or procedures
• Ensure adherence to SHERQ policies aid procedures
• Manage and control a safe working environment
• Identify and manage SHERQ risk to minimize risk within set targets
• Ensure subordinates understand risk and their respective impact on risk and implement
  corrective actions
• Manage expenditure and cost while meeting operational objectives
• Supervise and plan subordinate activities to ensure effective task execution and
  operations
• Manage and control training of employees to ensure compliance
• Manage and control subordinates to maintain and sustain sound work ethics and
  principles

Requirements
• Trade test certificate n Fitter/Boilermaker with a minimum of N3
• Operational experience of at least 5-10 years in the mining environment.
• Minimum of 5 years as a supervisor or team leader
• Valid dryer’s license
• Medical fitness certificate

Knowledge Skills and competencies:
• Engineering knowledge in crushers/mils
• Technical skill in effective maintenance arid accurate reporting
• Technical skills in Engineering drawing interpretation
• Planning and organizing skills in managing and controlling of work
• Good communication cooperation and interpersonal skills
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Intermediate Knowledge on MS Office (Excel. Word. MS Project) and Maintenance
Enterprise Systems i.e JOE/SAP.
• Skills and Knowledge in Root cause analysis and problem-solving
• IR knowledge of Mine Health and SafetyAct. relevant COP’s and SOP’s
• Working knowledge of all SHERQ related policies, practices and procedures
