SHIFT SUPERVISOR – NAMIB MILLS LTD 525 views

Manage and co-ordinate the production team to achieve optimal productivity and effectiveness.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational Planning

• Meeting of production requirements timeously and correctly.
• Ensure that production process runs smoothly, and problems are addressed timeously.
• Ensure sufficient levels of packaging materials.
• Timeously return unused packing materials.

Production

• Ensure that all packaging materials are functional.
• Ensure equipment is in good working order and settings are correct. Reporting on defects.
• Compile and submit accurate in time production reports.
• Ensure that production standards are adhered to.
• Accurately reconcile the production per shift to stock.
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance to Health and Safety requirements.
• Maintain hygiene as per prescribed levels.
• Compile and submit comprehensive handover report at the end of each shift.

Quality

• Maintain quality standards as per ISO.
• Maintain ISO systems by adhering to work systems.
• Maintain quality control on special products as per quality standards.
• Avoid product contamination and ensure excellent product quality.

Personnel

• Maintain discipline and good Human Resources practises.
• Ensure good levels of productivit
• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety requirements.
• Compiles accurate leave rotation to ensure company policies are adhered to.
• Carry out adhock tasks given by the Line Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE :

• Grade 12 (NQF 4) with 5 years relevant experience in production OR
• Relevant Certificate (NQF 5) with 4 years relevant experience in production OR
• Relevant Diploma (NQF 6) with 2 years relevant experience in production

OTHER

• Technical background will be an added advantage
• 1 Year experience in a s supervisory position
• Computer literate with a good mastering of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
• Must be able to work shifts, weekends, overtime and on public holidays
• Namibian citizen
