SHIFT LEADER – Africa Personnel Services (APS)

We are representing our client, a dynamic start-up plasterboard manufacturing plant in Arandis, Namibia, in their search for a skilled and experienced Shift Leader to join their team. As the Shift Leader, you will play a vital role in overseeing production operations during your designated shift, ensuring a seamless and efficient manufacturing process while prioritizing safety, quality, and productivity. • Coordinate and supervise production personnel, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities, optimizing the utilization of resources and skills.
• Provide guidance and support to operators and technicians, resolving production-related issues or conflicts.
• Monitor and evaluate production performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary corrective actions.
• Maintain production schedules, collaborating with other departments to ensure a smooth flow of materials and products.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to uphold product standards and meet customer expectations.
• Collaborate with maintenance personnel to address equipment breakdowns or malfunctions, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
• Promote a safety culture, emphasizing the importance of following safety procedures and reporting any hazards or incidents.
• Train and mentor new employees, facilitating their onboarding and professional development.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports, documenting key metrics and shift activities.
• Actively participate in meetings and effectively communicate with management, providing shift updates, addressing challenges, and offering recommendations.
