SHIFT FOREMAN – Beifang Mining Technology Services (Namibia) (Pty) Ltd

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership – Lead and supervise a production team to safely execute mining production work.
• Compliance – Ensure compliance to safety, procedural and statutory requirements.
• Production – Execute mining plans and schedules and meet set production targets.
• People – Motivate and build a capable team of people doing their best.
• Equipment – Oversee a safe operation of equipment and ensure compliance to SOPs.
• Cost – Manage usage of diesel, water and drilling consumables on shifts and preserve tyres life.
• Safety – Assess, report and manage hazards in a workplace, and investigate incidences.
• Reporting – Compile end of shift reports and checklist and any defects in operation.
• Administration – Manage crew attendance, timesheets, training and discipline.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or above
• Code B driver’s license
• Open Pit Blasting Certificate is an advantage.
• 5 years’ experience as mining supervisor/foreman
• Effective communication and leadership skills
• General open pit mining knowledge
