POSITION: SENIOR SHEQ OFFICER X1 (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL)

LOCATION: ROSSING URANIUM LIMITED

Purpose of the Job

– To ensure the health and safety of all personnel in mining operations by developing, implementing, and monitoring safety management systems in compliance with mining regulations and company policies.

Key Performance Areas

– Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations across all departments.
– Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and audits, implementing appropriate control measures.Preparing payroll audit trails and reports.
– Deliver training, coaching, and guidance to staff on health, safety, and welfare practices.
– Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, ensuring lessons learned and corrective actions are applied.
– Prepare and present regular reports on health, safety, and welfare performance to management.
– Promote a proactive culture of safety, wellbeing, and accountability throughout the organisation.

Minimum Requirement

– Degree or Diploma in environmental health and safety.
– NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety would be an advantage.
– 5-8 years’ working experience in Mining Industry.
– Grade 12, with at least a D symbol in English
– Less than 6 months old Code of Conduct Certificate
– Valid National Driver’s license
– Good interpersonal skills.
