A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or Chemical Engineering is usually required. Professional certifications such as NEMA Environmental Practitioner registration or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor are highly valued. Mining-specific waste management training and hazardous materials handling certificates strengthen your application.
What are the typical day-to-day responsibilities of a Senior Officer: Waste Management in Namibia's mining sector?

How does work culture and employer expectations differ in Namibian mining environments compared to other sectors?
Namibian mining employers emphasize strict adherence to safety and environmental protocols with zero-tolerance for non-compliance.
