Senior IT Systems Developer – Meat Corporation of Namibia

• Fulfil the role of lead architect and system developer for the organisation’s custom Livestock Procurement Management System running on Informix, PostgreSql and the CUBA platform. (60%)
• Perform consultations and interviews with various stakeholders in the organisation to compile systems requirements for information technology solutions. (15%)
• Design and manage the development of custom software solutions at the organisation. (15%)
• Manage software development and implementation projects. (10%)

       Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science that focused on software development.
• Eight (8) years’ experience in developing and delivering IT projects.
• Extensive experience in working with Informix RDMS and developing applications with Informix 4GL.
• Experience in developing with Java for the CUBA platform.
• Practical knowledge of doing integration projects with SOAP and/or ReSTful web services.
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.

• Exceptional organizing, coordinating and planning skills.

• Proficiency in English communication.
• A valid drivers’ license.
• Namibia citizen
