Opportunity | Duty Description

Key performance areas

Schedule, execute and co-ordinate the primary freight loads, pallet management, claims reconciliation, customer service levels, KPI reporting and daily system administration.

Duties

• Daily receiving and processing of transport orders on the current Transport Management System (TMS)
• Daily planning, routing and scheduling of vehicles in a timeous manner
• Efficient scheduling of loads and in turn ensuring the profitability of all stakeholders
• Ensuring that all loads are adequately insured
• Assisting Imperial Managed Solutions claims department in finalizing claims
• Ensuring the tracking and capturing of information regarding CHEP pallets
• Daily measurement of key performance indicators (KPI’s) in accordance with each client’s service level agreement (SLA)
• Day to day building and management of a service driven and professional relationship with all key contacts at the client / warehouse / loading point / delivery point and subcontractors
• Assist Imperial Managed Solution POD department with outstanding queries
• Assisting with Ad Hoc queries from Operations Manager or clients
• Assisting with Ad Hoc queries from sub-contractors.
• Assisting Operations Manager with daily activities
• Following the necessary Claims, Accident, Hi-Jack and CHEP pallets procedures
• Daily Rate management
• Understanding and applying costing methods

Qualifications required

• Grade 12
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a relevant transport environment.
• Bacherlors Degree in Logistics and Transport
