Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting and Compliance: Proficiency in financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements specific to the construction industry. This includes preparing financial statements, tax filings, and compliance reports in accordance with IFRS and other relevant regulations.
- Maintain company compliant position including tax and other aspects.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Experience in developing and managing budgets for construction projects and ongoing operations.
- Financing: Maintain external good relationships with Bank for facility/Guarantee request, with Insurance for other services.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration: Strong leadership and collaboration skills are necessary for building and motivating teams to achieve financial objectives.
- Communication and Presentation Skills: Effective communication skills are essential for presenting financial information to internal and external stakeholders, including executives, investors, lenders, and regulatory authorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is required.
- ACCA/CFA/CA preferred, audit firm experience preferred.
- 5 years’ experience in construction or related industries is preferred.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with management software or accounting tools, such as Pastel or Sage one.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is particularly important for financial modeling and analysis.
- Preference will be given to Namibian citizens or those with valid Namibian work permits.
