Key Responsibilities
- Control and monitor entry to and exit from the mine site and restricted areas.
- Verify identification documents, access cards, permits and site authorisations.
- Issue, record and recover temporary access permits and visitor passes.
- Maintain accurate personnel, contractor, visitor and vehicle movement records.
- Conduct authorised personnel, vehicle, delivery, waybill and access checks.
- Monitor access-control systems and report faults, breaches or suspicious activity.
- Assist with security incidents, emergencies, evacuations and incident reporting.
- Enforce ENWS procedures and applicable SU safety, security and access requirements.
Requirements
- Grade 10 with six years’ security experience, including two years in access control; or
- Grade 12 with two years’ relevant security or electronic access-control experience, including one year in access control.
- Relevant security or access-control training.
- Basic computer literacy and good report-writing and communication skills.
- Mining or industrial security experience will be advantageous.
- Willingness to work rostered day and night shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Appointment is subject to screening, vetting, medical fitness, site requirements and SU acceptance.
