Purpose of position:
To manage a vast range of fast moving consumer goods for the company. To increase sales in the company and manage costs that may occur to create higher margins.
Key Accountabilities:
To achieve and exceed agreed sales targets in existing product lines and keeps or improves sales & merchandising standards laid down by principal.
Negotiates profitable deals on existing and new product lines with buyers at shops.
Negotiates discounts, shelf space, promotions and gondolas.
Ensure that merchandisers are motivated and does training when needed.
Organises promotions by doing requirement negotiations.
Sorts, verifies and submit claims to expedite process. Recommends reversals as required.
Ensure that stock rotation principles are adhered to.
Ensure products are correctly displayed at point of sale.
Qualifications, Experience and skills:
Grade 12 and three years’ experience in FMCG, or a diploma in Sales and Marketing.
Be between 21 and 35 years of age.
Fluency in Afrikaans and English
Proficiency in an indigenous language will be a definite advantage.
Be able to handle pressure and conflict situations.
Have good communication skills.
Have a basic understanding and working knowledge of Sales Maths.
Reliable own transport, as extensive travelling is required.
Valid passport and police clearance certificate.
Valid Drivers’ License (Code 08)
