DESCRIPTION:
The Jewellery Senior Sales Associate will be responsible to demonstrate the passion for the brand in a polished and polite manner, completing all tasks necessary for the effective success of sales and after care services offered to our clients.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Sales
- Assuming the responsibility as the first point of contact between the client family and the customer.
- Embodying the brand philosophy and principles in every customer interaction, with the touch – adding their own flair to exceed customers expectation and make every experience extraordinary.
- Building and developing everlasting relationships with customers, in a way to support and exceed sales plans and clients’ expectations, turning new customers into raging fans and current customers into lifetime clients
- Constantly being present on the shop floor, making sure no opportunities are missed and that customers are constantly looked after
- Contributing to team in achieving and exceeding sales plans.
- Offering Personal Shopping sales and services appointments – either in person, by phone or via video call if required by customers.

- Delivering the company experience to each client, assuring they have an enjoyable and unique shopping experience, elevating this experience by delivering memorable moments to every customer.
- Demonstrating passion for the brand during every selling ceremony using the clients touch and their personal touch
- Executing in-store hospitality policies and using amenities to create unique experiences, aiming to receive and share feedback provided by customers
- Managing fully after service processes like Repairs and Silver Cleaning, making sure all they are logged into the proper books and follow up on lead time and completion
- Building their own clientele, by developing and nurturing relationships, capturing customer data like physical addresses and emails
- Talking to customers and dealing with difficult situations, without having this impact negatively on brand perception.
- Manage the customer experience as part of the company strategy
- Respond to customer complaints and comments in a timely manager, via email, phone or in person, as needed to provide the best possible experience.
Other Support Responsibilities:
- Holding yourself to the highest standards offered in Retail on all occasions, continually educating yourself on new products, competitors, best practice, and evolving characteristics of the luxury market
- Making sure shop floor is fully stocked, clean and tidy, correctly visually merchandised, with all items paired with the correct price blocks
- Every morning helping with the cleaning of displays and piece, to make sure displays are always sparkling and shinning. The maintenance of displays should be carried on throughout the day, especially after customer visits where all should be cleaned again ready for the next visit.
- Developing knowledge of the stock availability in the shop floor and stock rooms.
- Maintaining knowledge of what is happening online with the brand, by checking the website daily, as well as following Newsletters sent out weekly.
- Supporting on the preparation and execution of stocktakes, whenever needed, as well as reporting back to the Head of Retail of any stock issues that might have been noticed.
- Answering the phones within 3 rings, assuring the same level of customer service will be provided over the phone and in store, in line with company best practices
- Assuring workstations are always tidy and replenished with all that is necessary for the effectively and smoothly completion of the sales processes
- Logging demographic and other necessary information for data analysis of performance.
- Being able to gift wrap parcels beautifully, in line with brand guidelines
- Being able to make beverages and serve customers with refreshments
- Assuring the security of the store, stock, loss prevention measures and overall store wellbeing, making sure all is protected against theft. Address all suspicions of shoplifting and risk situations to management and always take own ownership for stock integrity.
Admin and Team Support:
- Performing daily the cleaning of the shop, display areas and silver stock, making sure all maintained to the highest standards at all time
- The Understanding and being able to manage the Concierge account together with the General Manager, responding to customer enquiries and follow up on services
- Reporting back regarding any stock that might be depleted, either with just a few remaining pieces or last one, so more stock can be ordered in a timely manner.
- Placing orders whenever necessary, following the correct procedures, and following up on customer expectations and lead times promised, reaching out proactively if necessary.
- Supporting with ad-hoc tasks that might arrive, guided by the managers and supervisors.
- Observing and following all company policies, understanding their part in the group and taking pride in it.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Sound knowledge and experience in jewellery sales, luxury retail or client-related experience.
- Proven track record in achieving sales results.
- Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends, public holidays and late shifts (if necessary). Shifts are usually set on a Rota basis, to cover the store opening hours and this might change from time to time based on the Location specifications. Total of weekly hours worked should be accounted.
- High level of customer service and excellent communication skills (writing and verbal), being able to work with a diverse customer base.
- IT proficient on Point of Sales Systems, client tracking and emails.
- Proactivity and eye for detail, always focusing on improvement of processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 matric
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous similar position held for at least 3 years
