Sales Consultant / Business Development Agent

Opportunities for a highly enthusiastic, driven, self-motivated, friendly individual who is passionate about creating exceptional relationships and world class experiences with new customers creating the needed business development for an established online specialist publication.
The successful candidate will sell, cross sell, up sell and retain advertising clients while also contributing to developing the company’s sales processes, compliance, quality assurance and guiding principles.
- Assist clients with their advertising portfolio
- Cross selling of all add on products
- Successful selling of advertising space and client products telephonically.
- Keeping of daily, weekly and monthly statistics.
- Accurate typing and loading of client information.
- Pro-actively make outbound calls to customers to enable achievement of Key Performance Indicators
- Retaining clients by providing them with feedback on their adverts and products.
- Delivering efficient customer service levels through effective call management
- Consultants are responsible for performance in the following Key Responsibility Areas of:
- Daily Sales Targets
- Manage dials and Talk-Time – practically demonstrate effort in work ethic through active dialling engaging with clients.
Opportunity | Duty Requirement(s)
Required Experience & Skills:
- Proven sales track record
- Sound knowledge of sales techniques.
- Extensive knowledge of telephone etiquette.
- Advanced computer literacy in e-mail and MS Office & Windows.
- Excellent verbal command of the English Language
- High proficiency in English (Ability to speak and understand).
- Strong understanding of the sales process and sales techniques
- A strong attention to detail
- Matric / other relevant qualification*
- Computer skills is a MUST (must be able to work on a PC).

Added Advantages | Special Requirement(s)
- Media sales (advantageous)
•Advertising sales (advantageous) - At least 12 months Sales experience in a Call Centre environment including print or electronic media (Retentions and Upselling) services industry.
- Fluency of an African languages will be an advantage.
- Client Services or Customer Care Course (Advantage).
